After the initial edge trimming, an additional cut of at least 30 mm is made on both sides. If necessary, a corner of the cardboard is also cut, depending on the FEFCO type. Finally, the cardboard is creased at the folding lines and conveyed out of the machine. The generated waste is transported out of the machine via a waste conveyor belt located underneath. At the machine’s exit, a conveyor belt disposes of the waste into a container. If the edge trim is too long, it must be cut within the system for seamless conveyance out of the machine. The cut blanks and products are transported to the folding table, where the cartons are erected and filled. In the Box Closing Unit, the cartons are sealed, labelled, and discharged from the system.
