Altendorf Hand Guard Single Flex

New machine – special price – year of manufacture 2024 HAND GUARD Edition Single Flex. The image shows the HAND GUARD system, which is based on early hazard detection and thereby protects the operator from injuries. The system works in any environment. The camera-based system first gives a visual warning to the operator to indicate an impending danger. If the danger persists, the saw blade is lowered automatically without damaging the machine or material. HAND GUARD supports the processing of various materials such as wood, metal, and plastic.

• Max. 500 mm saw blade diameter, standard fully retractable under a single-sided tilting saw unit.
Tilting range: 0 - 46°, equipped with a quick-change system for the main saw blade. Motorized height and tilt adjustment with a maximum saw blade protrusion of 179 mm (removal of the scorer may be required in some cases).

Also included is an eye-level control panel allowing you to adjust both the height and tilt of the saw blade, plus, depending on the chosen control package, the rotation speed and other functions. The new, clear industrial design underscores Altendorf’s exceptional status: this sliding table saw combines characteristic design with timeless aesthetics.
The Altendorf double roller carriage is renowned for its smooth operation and precise running. It can be locked continuously in any position. The large double rollers keep the upper carriage precisely aligned with the lower carriage on the respective guide round bars at all times. This running quality is maintained even after decades of heavy use and dirt accumulation. The carriage construction is extremely torsion-resistant and dimensionally stable. Also, there is a front support roller, 300 mm wide, that provides valuable support when cutting long workpieces at the rip fence. It can be positioned at 90° under the double roller carriage.
