Areva Teleperm XS Control Cabinet

Standard Configuration
Teleperm XS systems are typically installed in control cabinets of type SC 9422 (2200 x 900 x 400 mm deep), with protection class IP30. The cabinet is equipped with cable strain relief and shielding bar. It is designed to withstand seismic loads. Cable entry and power supply are generally from below. In the standard cabinet, the rack carriers are installed in the central section. On the left and right sides are areas for mounting cabinet connection elements and transceivers. Terminal blocks are used for connecting peripheral cables. Other connection technologies, such as Maxi-Termi-Point, are also possible. Field cables must be shielded with twisted pairs. Buses are implemented inside the cabinet with conventional cables, and outside the cabinet with fiber optic cables. Teleperm XS is suitable for systems with area-wide earthing as well as systems with central earthing (ZEP).

Rack Carriers
Various rack carrier configurations are used depending on the application requirements. The basic version features a continuous backplane bus and offers 21 slots. For large signal volumes, extension rack carriers can be added.

The following variants are supported:
- Split rack carriers with two smaller, independent computers (each with 10 slots, its own fan and power supply)
- Mixed configurations such as compact grouping of a computer with the associated signal conditioning modules
