Areva Teleperm XS Control Cabinet

Standard Construction Technology
For the assembly of Teleperm XS systems, control cabinets of type SC 9422 (2200 x 900 x 400 mm depth), protection class IP30, are commonly used.
The cabinet is equipped with cable support brackets and a shield busbar.
It is designed to withstand seismic loads.
Cable entry and power supply are generally provided from the bottom.
Racks for module carriers are mounted in the central area of the standard cabinet.
On the left and right, there are sections for installing cabinet connection elements and transceivers.
Terminal blocks are used to connect peripheral cables.
Alternative connection technologies such as Maxi-Termi-Point are also possible.

Field cables must be shielded with pairs of twisted wires.
Buses are laid within the cabinet using conventional cables; outside the cabinet, fiber optic cables are used.
Teleperm XS is suitable for installations with area-wide earthing as well as for installations with central earthing (CEP).

Module Carriers
Depending on requirements, various configurations of module carriers are used.
In the basic configuration, the module carrier features a continuous rear bus and offers 21 slots.
For processing large volumes of signals, extension module carriers can be connected.

Supported variants include:
- Split module carriers with two smaller, independent computers (10 slots each, each with its own fan and power supply)
- Hybrid configurations, such as a compact assembly of a computer with corresponding signal processing modules
