Heating Element Welding Machine HP60/40 by BRANSON
The drive is hydraulic, supported by positioning and control systems. The machine is equipped with its own vacuum pump.
Only few operating hours. (approx. 6,800 hrs)
Usable heating element area: Width 600 mm x Depth 400 mm
Max. part dimensions:
- Max. part width: 620 mm
- Max. part depth: 420 mm
- Max. part height (top): 350 mm
- Max. part height (bottom): 350 mm
(Combinations of part heights possible, depending on contours)
Max. operating temperature for contact process: 400°C
The modular frame design of the machine allows for easy modifications. The side doors and front door in the welding area can be easily opened for simple retrofit work. The automatic safety lift door provides high operator safety. The temperature control units in the control panel feature actual/target displays. The operator interface is a Siemens PLC control unit. Machine control via Siemens PLC (S7-300 controller). The heating elements are equipped with temperature sensors for temperature regulation and also allow for safety shut-off in the event of overtemperature. The pin systems on the tool clamping surfaces enable reproducible positioning.
Advantages of heating element welding technology:
- Reliable welding of workpieces with thin or varying wall thicknesses
- Low rejection rate due to dimensionally accurate and reproducible welds
- Even sensitive parts can be welded thanks to precise time, temperature, and force control
- Virtually all thermoplastics can be welded with this process
- Different types of plastic can be welded together (compatibility should be checked)
