Heating Element Welding Machine HP60/40 by BRANSON
The drive is hydraulic, supported by positioning and control systems. The machine is equipped with its own vacuum pump.
Usable Heating Element Area: Width 600 mm x Depth 400 mm
Maximum Workpiece Dimensions:
- Max. workpiece width: 620 mm
- Max. workpiece depth: 420 mm

(Combinations of workpiece heights are possible, depending on contour)
- Max. operating temperature for contact welding: 400°C
The modular frame design enables straightforward conversion works. The side and front doors in the welding area are easily accessible for quick changeover procedures. An automatic safety lift door ensures high operator safety.
The temperature control units on the control panel feature actual/target value displays. Operation is via a Siemens PLC control panel. Machine control is implemented through a Siemens S7-300 PLC. The heating elements are equipped with temperature sensors for precise control, and for automatic safety shutdown in case of overheating. Pin systems on the tool mounting surfaces allow for repeatable positioning of workpieces.
Advantages of the heating element welding technology:
- Reliable welding of components with small or varying wall thicknesses
- Low reject rates due to dimensionally accurate and repeatable welds
- Precise time, temperature, and force control enable the welding of even delicate parts
- Nearly all thermoplastics can be welded using this method
- Different types of plastics can be welded together (compatibility must be verified)
