Cousins Smart Engineering has developed the advanced cutting and film holding device with the A-Arm. This provides significant productivity gains and safety benefits. This technology is only available on Cousins machines.

This unique method of attaching and cutting the stretch film offers the following advantages:

• Selectable top banding function
• Stabilizes the load early in the wrapping cycle
• Places the film tail on top of the load instead of underneath
• No film clamp on the turntable that could be damaged by dirt or operator error –
also, no slip rings needed to power the turntable, reducing maintenance needs
• Load placement on the turntable is not critical
• No air connections or noisy compressors
• New automatic safety function for load detection during the first rotation detects uneven
or partially stacked top layers and automatically adjusts the A-Arm height to avoid obstacles
• A-Arm anti-drop safety device
