The Demag IntElect series was among the pioneering machines introducing fully electric drive technology to the plastics injection molding industry in the late 2000s. Unlike conventional hydraulic systems, where pumps and cooling circuits operate continuously, the servo drive of the IntElect is only activated when actual movement is required. This fundamental difference enables an energy saving of 50 – 70% compared to hydraulic machines and significantly reduces annual operating costs.

The main drive unit controls all clamping and injection movements with high precision.
Plasticizing motor · Water-cooled servo motor
This motor, also based on the Siemens MOTICS 3 platform, homogenizes the melt through precise speed and torque control. The water-cooled design ensures stable operation even during continuous high-intensity production.
5-axis full servo control
The machine is equipped with 5 independent servo motors. Clamping, injection, screw retraction, ejector, and plasticizing are all completely servo-controlled. Since each axis can be programmed independently, all movements can be carried out simultaneously. This architecture provides micrometer-level repeatability, shorter cycle times, and minimal mechanical wear compared to hydraulic systems.
NC4 control system
The keypad-based NC4 system manages all machine parameters—including injection profile, mold protection, and cycle analysis—from a single screen.
