The Priam model is a vertical glass drilling machine equipped with two drilling spindles (double-sided), designed for customers seeking a functional and user-friendly device that is also highly durable. During the development of this device, we relied on traditional mechanical engineering principles, utilizing heavy, heat-treated steel frames with mechanical solutions that facilitate later operation and maintenance. This alternative approach to machine development and manufacturing ensures that our machine can drill glass reliably for many years, guaranteeing a substantial return on investment.

To ensure the components of our glass drilling machine are manufactured with great care, we produce them in Poland in cooperation with local partners. The main body of the machine is manufactured in-house and then heat-treated and further processed locally. Thus, the entire production process takes place under our strict supervision, allowing any defects to be detected and corrected before the product is delivered to the customer. In this way, we also support the local machine-building industry.

The assemblies that make up the machine meet the highest European standards. Our suppliers include SIEMENS, HITACHI, UNITRONICS, SCHNEIDER, and GARLOCK. Mechanical components are readily available and can be replaced quickly and easily during operation.

Expoglass Priam – Glass Drilling Machine – Functionality at the Highest Level

• 2 drilling spindles (front and rear). This allows a glass pane to be drilled through in a single operation without the need to turn it over.

• Electronically controlled loading bar. To adjust the distance between the lower glass edge and the drilling point, you simply enter the required measurement on a touch screen, and the machine automatically positions itself accordingly.

• Quick drill change mode. After pressing the drill change button, both spindles are automatically locked (they cannot be rotated). The vertical plate between the two drills lowers, creating a large gap between the drills. This allows drills to be changed without a wrench and provides ample space for convenient handling.

• Automatic (electronic) measurement of drill length and position. After completing a drill change, the system performs an automatic calibration to measure drill length, thus determining the distance between the glass pane and each drill tip. This is especially important for smaller operations that work primarily with single-piece drilling rather than series production.

• Automatic (electronic) determination of spindle depth positions. After automatic spindle calibration and pressing the glass pane, the machine measures the thickness of the glass and adjusts the ideal spindle depth positions. The operator then only needs to press the “Drill” button—the drilling process is fully automatic.
