The Pyrtec boiler system is an underfeed firing system with internal grate and burnout grate for universal use, and is suitable for an especially wide range of fuels, from dry wood waste to wet forest wood chips.
Maximum water content w = 50% corresponds to wood moisture u 100%.
The complete boiler unit is type-approved (Approval No.: 02-221-512) with ongoing quality control by TÜV and includes the following components:

FEED SCREW WITH FIRE BARRIER LAYER:
The feed screw transports the fuel into the fire pot and the grate area of the combustion block. The robust screw flights are made of heat-resistant chromium steel in the combustion zone. The conveyor pipe is equipped with mounts for the backburn thermostat and thermal extinguishing valve. Above the screw is the metering hopper with photo sensor for determining the level of the fire barrier layer required by TRD 414.
The drive is via a maintenance-free helical geared motor and chain drive within a dustproof chain guard.
Accessories: Extinguishing valve with dirt filter.

COMBUSTION BLOCK:
Heavy-duty, multi-insulated combustion block lined with high-quality fireclay. The fuel feed and grate area consist of the fire pot, gasification grate, and falling burnout grate. All these components are made of highly heat-resistant cast steel (material no. 1.4868), at least 12 mm thick and individually replaceable.
This type of primary combustion has proven highly effective even for demanding fuels (moist sawmill waste, high bark content, etc.). Ash and foreign objects falling through the grates can be easily removed from the outside via openings closed with lids. The horizontal combustion chamber is optimally shaped for complete burnout and also provides a large ash chamber. The combustion chamber door is solidly built, well-insulated, and can be easily swung aside for servicing thanks to the heavy-duty double-joint hinge.

BOILER:
Horizontal hot water boiler in three-pass design, mounted on the combustion block, insulated and attractively clad. The insulated boiler front door allows for the installation of an oil or gas burner.
Operating temperature: max. 120°C
Operating pressure: 3.0 bar
Test pressure: 6.0 bar

PYRTEC-140 to PYRTEC-650 FLUE GAS DUST COLLECTOR:
This is designed as an axial cyclone, fully insulated, and mounted on the boiler. Features 2 insulated cleaning covers, ash container with quick-release closure, and mounting flange for the flue gas fan.

PYRTEC-1000 FLUE GAS DUST COLLECTOR:

Also in axial cyclone design, fully insulated, free-standing for optimal placement. Includes 2 insulated cleaning covers, mounting flange for the flue gas fan, and connection for the ash container.

FLUE GAS FAN:
Fan specially designed for wood combustion operation, very quiet, motor in robust, heat-resistant design with spring-mounted heat dissipation hub. The fan housing can be continuously rotated at the intake nozzle; discharge nozzle is round.
