The hydraulic briquetting presses of the MPP NEM series compress materials such as aluminum, copper, brass, bronze, and other non-ferrous metals into dimensionally stable cylindrical briquettes. The machines are characterized by their robust construction, ensuring consistent briquette quality in continuous operation. The pressing process takes place without the addition of binding agents, relying solely on hydraulic pressure. Depending on the material, the volume of the input material can be reduced by up to 90%.
The standard silo has a capacity of approx. 0.5 m³. Silos with larger capacity or special containers for installation beneath an existing extraction and filter system as a complete disposal unit are also available. According to customer requirements, single MPP NEM machines can be combined into a system. The chip hopper of the press can be loaded manually, via a conveyor belt, with an extractor, or using a tipping skip. For systems designed for fully automatic operation, the use of a lifting-tipping device in combination with a shredder is recommended. The briquetting presses of the MPP NEM series are intended for the production of briquettes from homogeneous material.
The length of a briquette, depending on the model, is 40 to 80 mm, with a diameter—depending on the type—of 50, 65, or 70 mm. For emulsion recovery, it is possible to equip the briquetting press with a collection tray, allowing cooling, cutting, and lubricating fluids to be collected and recovered. Non-ferrous metal chips with a length of up to approx. 20 mm are filled into the briquetting press storage hopper. An agitator at the bottom of the hopper prevents bridge formation and feeds the material into the pre-compactor chamber. A hydraulic slider pre-compresses the material in this chamber and pushes it into the press block. The main press cylinder presses the material against a vertical slider until the set pressing pressure is reached. The vertical cylinder then moves up, and the finished briquette is ejected.
The more homogeneous the input material, the more consistent the length of the produced briquettes.
