Application
This foulard-dryer combination has proven to be highly effective in practice. It is used in this configuration for a variety of treatment processes involving hot air, such as drying, fixing, condensing, thermosoling, etc. This system is applied wherever a certain sample size is already required, for example for producing sample collections or similar purposes.
THA Dryer
If the foulard and dryer are to be operable separately as well as in continuous operation, the THA-type dryer should be selected. This device features an unwinding station at the dryer inlet and a take-off unit at the outlet. In stand-alone mode, this component determines the material speed. This allows both the foulard and the dryer to be used independently and simultaneously. For drying, fixing, condensing, etc., the material is then placed on the dryer.

If all of the above-mentioned applications are to be ensured and use of pin frames is also desired when operating the dryer independently, the THN type is preferable. The standard pin frames are suitable for sample sizes up to max. 50 x 50 cm (larger pin frames available on request). Available options include longitudinally adjustable frames for wovens, longitudinally and width-adjustable holders for knitted and warp-knitted fabrics, nonwovens, etc., as well as clamping frames for films and paper.
Drying Chamber
The drying chamber, with electrical control box and operator panel, is mounted on a base frame and assembled into a single unit.
Good thermal insulation of the dryer is ensured by the double-walled construction with intermediate insulation.
The nozzle field, 1300 mm in length, is divided into upper and lower nozzle sections. Using a regulating flap, ventilation can be set for either equal air distribution above/below, or for more air from above or below.
Fan and Heating
An intensive air circulation is achieved by a high-performance fan, capacity approx. 900-3500 m3/h, combined with a precisely matched heating output, resulting in optimal evaporation performance. A dual-protected monitoring system allows reduced maintenance and increases the operational safety of the dryer.
The heating capacity is designed for rapid heating and is automatically reduced after reaching the desired temperature to avoid unnecessary power peaks. Temperature is controlled by an electronic measurement and control device across a range of 20-250°C. Fresh air is fed directly to the circulation fan via its own fan. The required amount can be set using a multi-stage switch.
