The saw is primarily designed for use in small and medium-sized operations focused on a wide range of wood processing tasks, but it is also suitable for processing non-wood materials. The FLS 170 single-blade saw significantly increases work efficiency and material yield (by 10-15%), and can handle beams, planks, squared timber, as well as large-format panels. The input material can be edged, ripped, cut to size, and used for the production of blanks and lamellas. The maximum cutting height is 170 mm. The saw can be operated by a single person.

This saw offers enhanced equipment compared to the standard model, including features such as clamping jaws on the movable stop, automatic workpiece ripping mode, two joysticks, and more (details on request).

Smooth feed and saw blade height adjustment guarantee clean cuts and high cutting performance. Blade replacement is quick and, most importantly, safe. The saw carriage is fitted with guide and side rollers, ensuring optimal guidance of the floating aggregate during cutting and eliminating unnecessary vibrations. The upper hold-down and adjustable wooden stop securely fix the material during cutting, preventing unwanted movement.

FLS technology is unique for its fast and simple set-up via ergonomically positioned controls with a touch panel. Cutting widths can be set manually or through the basic Absolute program or optional Chain and Optim programs. The intended cut line is projected onto the material with a laser beam and then longitudinally guided by the moving saw blade.

The FLS saw is capable of cutting beams, squared timber, planks, and large-format materials. Input material can be edged, ripped, sized, cut at angles and mitres, grooved, as well as used for blanks and lamella production. It is well suited for manufacturers of edge-glued panels, solid wood furniture, and staircases. The machine can also process non-wood materials such as PUR/PIR panels, plastics, composite, aluminium, or cement-bonded particle boards.
