Description:
Weima high-performance shredders, with their versatile application possibilities, can process all types of wood materials (hardwood, softwood, chipboard, MDF, plywood, veneer scraps, etc.) into fuel chips and achieve massive volume reduction of bulky materials.

Operating principle:

The machine is equipped with a large feed hopper and can be loaded by conveyor belt or manually. The hopper can be adapted to meet individual needs and ensures a continuous and cost-effective feed of material, eliminating the need for manual intervention.

The hydraulically operated pusher feeds the wood waste to be shredded to the cutting area of the rotor and is automatically controlled depending on load. The internal pusher guides are made from highly abrasion-resistant plastic (polyamide) and are adjustable. The hydraulic cylinders are universally mounted to avoid lateral forces acting on the piston seals.

The patented, profiled V-rotor made from solid steel has a diameter of 252 mm and operates at a rotor speed of 80 – 120 rpm. The concave-ground, aggressive and four-way reversible knives/cutting crowns are located in precision-milled knife pockets on special knife holders. This patented system, through the reduced cutting gap between counter knife and rotor, guarantees high throughput, low energy consumption, and optimal discharge of shredded material.

The screen installed below the rotor determines the chip size (10 – 100 mm). Optionally, a hydraulically opening screen basket is available.

Power transmission from the electric motors is via V-belts to a generously dimensioned gearbox, which is mounted on one rotor shaft end.
