Euro-Komplex EK-24

Device (EK-24 FILTER) for extraction and filtration of sawdust, dust, and contaminants generated from woodworking and processing of wood-based materials.

The device was manufactured by the Polish company Euro-Komplex, specialized in the design, production, and installation of comprehensive dedusting systems used in various industrial sectors, particularly in wood and furniture factories.

The filter enables effective extraction of contaminants from several machines simultaneously, such as: circular and panel saws, four-side planers, edgebanders, CNC machines, router plotters, or grinders.

The robust filter frame is made from 2mm hot-dip galvanized or powder-coated steel; the inlet tunnel and reinforcements are made from 3mm steel. Structural elements are bolted with 8.8 class screws with Teflon inserts. Notably, the implemented sieve basket is homogeneous and smooth, free of welded elements, facilitating unobstructed airflow with waste fractions without deposits on the basket walls.

The EK-24 is equipped with an ATEX-certified 0.09 kW electrovibrator for cleaning filter bags, which are made from antistatic, waterproof material (350g/m², air permeability: 240l/dm²/min). The cleaning system is fully automated and operates in precisely timed cycles tailored to the type of dusted material.

Thanks to the use of a return air damper (summer/winter flap), in winter the clean, filtered air returns to the production hall, positively affecting temperature maintenance and delivering tangible financial benefits.

The WTK fans used in the EK-24 have self-cleaning impellers and reinforced construction for long-term, reliable operation.

Electrical control is implemented via a control panel equipped with protections and time control circuits for the electrovibrator and fan motor.

The control cabinet features a frequency inverter, enabling smooth adjustment of fan motor speed for highly precise control.

The rotary airlock valve separates the filter chamber from the external environment, blocking the flow of air and allowing only sawdust to pass freely into the collecting bag, without air blasts. The valve is equipped with a system to cushion rotor impacts in case a large solid object enters the device.

It includes a dry riser fire-fighting system mounted to the filter, allowing for rapid delivery of water or extinguishing agent to the enclosed filter chamber via internal sprinklers. The installation features a fire department connection for direct connection to fire brigade equipment or a hydrant hose.

The filter is also equipped with an explosion venting device, which safeguards by relieving pressure in case of an explosion. It is designed to vent developing explosions within protected equipment such as hoppers, silos, separators, filters, sorters, etc., where explosive atmospheres can exist. By venting the explosion to the environment, the pressure is reduced to below the pressure resistance limit of the protected device.
