Machine Concept: The Weima high-performance shredder, with its versatile applications, can process all types of wood materials (hardwood, softwood, chipboard, MDF, plywood, veneer scraps, etc.) into fuel chips. For bulky materials, it achieves substantial volume reduction. Mode of Operation: The machine is equipped with a large feed hopper and can be loaded either by conveyor belt or manually. The hopper can be adapted to individual requirements and ensures a continuous and cost-effective material feed without the need for manual intervention. A hydraulically controlled pusher directs the wood waste to be shredded into the cutting area of the rotor, with automatic, load-dependent operation. The internal guide rails for the pusher are made from highly wear-resistant plastic (polyamide) and are adjustable. The hydraulic cylinders are cardanically mounted to prevent lateral forces on the piston seals. The concave-ground, aggressive, and four-way reversible blades/cutting crowns are mounted in milled knife pockets on special tool holders. This patented system provides, for the first time, the ability to minimize the cutting gap between counter-blade and rotor, ensuring high throughput, low energy consumption, and optimal discharge of the shredded material. Power transmission from the electric motors to the robustly dimensioned gearbox is via V-belts. The gearbox is mounted on one side of the rotor at the shaft stub.
