CNC HOMAG OPTIMAT BMG 511/60/12/F/K – numerically controlled gantry machining centre for milling and drilling wooden components and wood-based materials
Thanks to 5-axis technology, numerous operations can be performed without the need for additional aggregates. It enables flexible design and fully automated production of any possible form of stairs, doors, windows, and more. The use of 5-axis machining centres drastically reduces production times.
As standard, this centre is equipped with a new type of 5-axis electrospindle from leading manufacturer OMLAT, which operates using Cardan joints. The electrospindle is liquid-cooled, allowing for continuous operation without downtime.
The machine bed is made from SORB TECH, a material characterized by a lack of internal stresses and a high vibration damping coefficient, which enhances machining quality and extends tool life.
The HOMAG BMG 500 series machining centre stands out for its high-quality construction, resulting from the use of components that positively impact machining accuracy and service life. The machine features a gantry design with dual drive – the gantry travels on two independent linear guides, which prevents stress transfer, ensuring exceptional precision, stability, and rigidity during machining, without the vibration issues common in standard centres.
This machine is ideal for precise machining in industrial environments, maintaining high throughput and uninterrupted operation – outperforming standard CNC machines in demanding applications.

CNC-controlled processing centre in moving gantry design for routing and drilling wood and composite panels.
Prepared for one main spindle, mounted on the right side of the gantry.
