With extensive experience, igm delivers advanced robotic systems for forklift manufacturing. igm plays a key role in providing customer-specific welding solutions for lift masts, lattice masts, main frames, engine frames, and hydraulic cylinders.
For hydraulic cylinder production, an automatic system with a robot in an enclosed cell is used, featuring transport and clamping equipment. For various mast lengths, robotic programs are adapted using the igm offline program assembly system iPAT, allowing shifting and copying of individual program steps or groups on a PC. Geometry data can be imported via an interface from the CAD system. Welding cells for main frame manufacturing typically consist of a 3-axis carriage system and an L-manipulator, enabling optimal positioning and accessibility for welding.
For highly demanding productivity requirements, automatic production lines are available for individual components. These flexible manufacturing systems (FMS) are designed for processing a single workpiece type in multiple identical robot cells. The connection of the individual robotic welding stations is achieved through an automated guided vehicle system. The transport carriage runs on rails and carries a satellite trolley that can be moved into each station for loading, unloading, preparation, and welding. Workpieces are automatically clamped by a special fixture.
Examples of end products: hydraulic cylinders, forks, main frames, cab frames, small components.
