This 2003 Krones Robot 3A depalletizing robot is designed for the automatic handling of filled beverage crates on Euro pallets. The system is intended for unloading complete layers of crates from pallets. The machine handles 1.0-litre PET crates in an 8-crate layer pattern and is suitable for crates with dimensions of 400 x 300 x 310 mm on Euro pallets measuring 1200 x 800 x 144 mm. In operation, a mechanical gripper head lifts an entire layer of beverage crates from the pallet and transports it horizontally within the unloading area. The system is equipped with an MTS 10 operator panel that displays the program sequence and pallet handling status. The working area is secured by safety fencing and access doors.
