Process sequence:
Shells are delivered in containers and tipped into a receiving hopper. Inside this hopper, three screw conveyors transport the contents to a vertical screw conveyor. This conveyor doses the shells into the dryers. Through vibration, the shells move upward through the dryer and across a contact surface that is heated to 180°C, where the shells are warmed.

At the dryer outlet, a temperature monitoring unit is installed to ensure that only properly heated shells are transferred to the next drying stage. If the required temperature is not reached, the feeding process is halted, and the shells are recirculated. The resulting vapors are centrally extracted and discharged. Dried shells are conveyed via two screw conveyors to a Big Bag station for packaging.

Optionally, a centrifuge can be installed between the dosing hopper and the first dryer to separate any free-flowing liquids. The system is heated by two gas-fired thermal oil heaters. Our design facilitates a throughput of 2 tons per hour with an evaporation capacity of kg/hour.
