Product innovation: Sawing System Type “ORIX”

The ORIX sawing system enables fully automatic processing of a wide range of aluminium profiles. The machine is built on a robust base frame. For precise positioning of the saw unit, linear guides and precision carriages are utilized. The drives are equipped with servo motors. For sawing operations, the saw unit travels forward 300 mm along the Y-axis, allowing easy cutting of special profiles, plates, as well as Item and Bosch profiles. The support table consists of movable rollers, which are automatically positioned according to the desired cut length. All rollers are also mounted on precision carriages. The saw features a sturdy discharge table for depositing the cut aluminium parts. Optionally, the cut pieces can be automatically transported away—including swarf—via a conveyor belt. The machine offers a maximum cutting length of 6,000 mm, resulting in an overall length of 7,000 mm. The sawing system is supplied with a matching 2-channel minimum-quantity lubrication system. Additionally, it can be fitted with a 400 mm or 600 mm saw blade, depending on your requirements.

Operating Procedure:

Enter the desired profile length in the control system. The saw unit then moves to the specified position. The operator inserts the aluminium profile and starts the saw. Using an end-cut recognition sensor, the saw determines the correct initial cut position. The cut is performed. After sawing, the unit retracts and repositions itself for the next set coordinate, then repeats the cutting operation.

These procedures are repeated until the entire profile is processed. All cut parts are gently placed on the discharge table or conveyor. Material clamping is performed directly at the saw unit using vertical and horizontal clamps, as is standard with aluminium saws. Once the profile is fully processed, the saw head automatically returns to the loading position for the next operation. The process can be repeated as required. Optionally, cross conveyors can be integrated for automated feeding. For safety, fencing or a light curtain can be installed. The control system is available in two versions: Diethei or Siemens control. Optional material sorting into different bins or by length is possible.
