Automatic Feed Control AD 5
FSM series models are equipped with an automatic feed control system (AD 5). Various grinding cycles are available: surface grinding with feed at the start position, slot grinding with feed at the start position, and slot grinding with feed at both start and end positions. The infeed of the grinding wheel can be individually adjusted according to the workpiece. The total grinding allowance can be split into coarse and fine increments, with infeed steps programmable to a minimum resolution of 0.001mm, depending on application. The ability to program rapid traverses after a specific number of infeed steps as well as spark-out passes upon reaching the final dimension ensures optimal grinding results.
