Base Frame Structure:
The base structure is a monolithic construction made from thick-walled steel, reinforced with welded square plates throughout the entire machine bed for extreme stability. The machine bed shape, with a large base, is essential for lasting precision and stability. The load-bearing structure comprises an especially robust monolithic steel base, highly ribbed and very stiff; its particularly wide support base is specifically designed to provide machine stability and long-term precision regardless of working conditions – the machine does not need to be anchored to the floor. The base provides a large and solid support for the moving gantry: the working unit thus has a balanced, stable, and resilient support capable of withstanding heavy-duty use, which ensures superior performance and enhanced accuracy.

The mobile gantry consists of a solid single piece anchored to the base and travels along prismatic guideways with ball-bearing shoe recirculation of the highest quality. The working unit is mounted on this and moves along the Y and Z axes via prismatic guides with ball-return shoes as well. Movement of the lower traverse unit (X-axis) and the working unit along the moving beam (Y-axis) is achieved through a helical rack-and-pinion drive. This provides higher tooth engagement, resulting in greater acceleration and faster movement along the X and Y axes. The specially designed helical gear reduces component wear and noise during operation.

The vertical Z-axis is driven by a ball-screw, ensuring perfect dynamic load balance and smooth acceleration and deceleration.

The main milling unit is directly coupled to the Z-axis carriage, guaranteeing absolute machining quality.
