Multibend 2000 RAS 74.30 Folding Machine from RAS Reinhardt Maschinenbau GmbH is a universal folding machine with swivel beam, CNC control, a wide range of segmented tooling, and a working length of 3200 mm, designed for bending steel sheet (400 MPa). A manual or intelligent crowning system is integrated directly into the folding beam to ensure precise and uniform bends along the entire length. The elastic deformation of the folding beam depends on the sheet’s thickness, strength, properties, working length, and position on the support beam. Sensors embedded in the folding beam detect its actual deflection within the first 10 degrees of bending, and the system activates the actuators to adjust the camber of the beam. This compensates for beam deflection. The control system stores all parameters for each new bend and uses them for subsequent operations. The bending line is always perfectly straight with the specified radius and independent of metal thickness, length, ductility, strength, segment height, and their position in the bending area of the beam.
