Intended Use: Suitable for the layout and processing of short runs and single books (“books of one”) with varying sizes, page counts, and covers.

Line configuration:
1. Roll feed: Unwinder, merger, Dupla cutting machine, and book assembly station for the production of book blocks with 2-up printing.
2. Sheet feeder: A variable number of loose sheets can be added to the book block as inserts. The sheets must match the size and print run of the original book block.
3. Feed to binding machine: Station for manual feeding of pre-assembled book blocks, transport with reading station, book turning module, and loading robot at the binding machine.
4. Variable binder for producing books with softcover covers. The binder is equipped with PUR for the spine and hot-melt glue for the book sides.
5. Softcover cover maker, configured with sheet cover feeder: pre-printed cover sheets are fed in, trimmed at the front, side-trimmed, and creased to the correct size to match the thickness of the corresponding book block.
6. Cooling tower/cooling spiral (product-specific) not included in the scope of delivery; can be ordered as needed depending on customer requirements (product type). The cooling conveyor can be configured according to space and installation site requirements. The price of the conveyor depends on its configuration. We are happy to advise you on selecting the appropriate conveyor.
7. Variable three-knife trimmer, suitable for trimming books with variable sizes in three dimensions and different cover types.

The entire process is controlled via 2D Data Matrix codes. Through the code, the system receives authorization for the following automatic settings and workflow management:
• Information on book dimensions and inserts (number and order)
• Setup of the binding machine (spine position, thickness, and length)
• Cover preparation: softcover → creasing, trimming, edge trim
• Correct book-to-cover assignment
• Three-knife trimmer (knife positioning is automatically adjusted to the book dimensions)

Very good condition // Dismantling, packaging of the machine, and securing (insurance for the machine during transport) will be carried out by the manufacturer / Tecnau.
