This is a drill bit grinding machine for bits ranging from 8 to 30 mm, with an adjustable point angle from 90° to 140°.

Standard equipment: CBN grinding wheel for HSS drills.

Grinding a drill bit is completed in three steps. First, the drill bit is properly clamped in a fixture, followed by grinding and pointing.

Before clamping the drill bit, set the drill diameter using a rotary knob on the grinding machine. The drill bit, with the appropriate collet, is aligned against the stop in the left holder of the machine and clamped in place.

Grinding of the cutting edges and tipping is straightforward. Simply switch on the machine, insert the drill with the fixture into the right holder, and gently rotate from stop to stop – first cutting edge is done. Then, rotate the fixture by 180° and grind the second cutting edge.

Pointing works the same way, but in the top holder. That's it. Finally, just switch off the machine and unclamp the drill bit.

A clever design combines an eccentric with a special grinding wheel so that you need not worry about cutting edge shape or clearance angle. Furthermore, both cutting edges are created with exactly the same setting, ensuring optimum cutting edge symmetry. Additionally, the point angle can be freely selected from 90° to 140° even before grinding.

High-precision collets for diameters from 8 to 30 mm in 1 mm increments ensure concentric clamping.

The grinding wheel has a service life of over 3,000 uses. Along with the standard CBN grinding wheel for HSS tools, we also offer a diamond grinding wheel for carbide drills. Changing the wheel only takes a few seconds and requires minimal effort.

The compact design of the drill bit grinding machine and the practical carrying handle make it easy to use on location. Since almost the entire set of system tools—such as collets, fixtures, or hex keys—are stored on the machine, everything you need is always at hand.
