Used Winkworth process mixer, model PV65-25, with a 65-litre capacity, constructed from acid-resistant stainless steel. The unit features a welded dished bottom and flat top with a manually operated lid. The top is raised and lowered via a pneumatically controlled mechanism. The mixing chamber dimensions are approximately 600 mm in diameter and 450 mm in depth. The mixing chamber is equipped with an external stainless steel jacket, designed for a pressure of 3.5 bar and temperature up to 200°C. The mixer is fitted with a top-mounted frame agitator with PTFE scrapers, driven by a 1.1 kW electric motor through a gearbox, providing an agitator speed of 33.6 rpm, as well as a counter-rotating blade agitator driven by a 0.75 kW electric motor via gearbox, operating at 76.4 rpm. The unit also includes a Silverson type BE275 homogeniser, mounted in the bottom dish, with a square-holed dispersing head and driven by a 0.75 kW electric motor. The unit comes with a local control panel and is mounted on a platform with four legs.
