The primary purpose of this lathe type is for the machining of pipes. Accordingly, this machine type is widely used in the oil industry.
Pipe thread lathes have extensive capabilities for machining threaded joints on cylindrical and conical internal and external surfaces of pipes with large diameters. Clamping of pipes with two chucks and the supplied steady rests enables the machining of pipes with considerable lengths. Suitable for the manufacturing of components and systems for the oil and pipeline industries as well as for the maintenance of such systems.
