The extruder consists of a frame, a gearbox, and a splitter unit with special bearings capable of ensuring perfect operation with a backpressure of up to 150 bar.

The barrel is a modular cylindrical type with a length of 37 effective diameters, divided into eight sections. Each barrel segment is temperature-controlled by forced circulation of demineralized water through a series of horizontally drilled channels in each module.

Heating is provided by cartridge heaters. The screws are of a segmented, interchangeable design and are mounted on splined shafts, allowing the configuration to be adapted to the specific processing requirements.

Barrels and screws are made from high wear-resistant steel.

The degassing unit features a 1.5 kW liquid ring vacuum pump connected to the dedicated module via easily cleanable piping. Extracted gases are collected in a dedicated tank for easy cleaning.

Drive power is supplied by a (Siemens) AC motor rated at 51 kW, together with a corresponding inverter, all housed in an enclosure equipped with appropriate safety devices and control indicators.

The control cabinet (integrated in the extruder) is divided into two sections: power and temperature control. The cabinet is equipped with an air-conditioning unit.

The extruder includes a closed-circuit water/water temperature control unit (1.1 kW pump).
