For machining of cylindrical and worm gears as well as all other regular hobbed profiles and shapes on the peripheral surface of cylindrical workpieces.

Gleason’s large gear hobbing machines offer maximum productivity for roughing and finishing of cylindrical gears across numerous industries: wind turbines, industrial gear units, mining and shipbuilding, gear machining, and many others.

The drive system’s power range has been designed to accommodate future tool developments. Naturally, the hobbing head drive is backlash-free. These machines are particularly well suited for the use of the latest cutting tool materials, whether dry or wet machining is preferred.

The machine can be used for both dry and wet machining, and is equipped with the corresponding chip conveyor for both machining methods.

The machine is fitted with an internal profile milling head as a motorized milling head.
