Herzog LY300

This LY300 cross and longitudinal grinding machine is used but has only been operated sporadically. The condition is very good; only paint damage and a scratched machine cover indicate the machine's age.

From a safety perspective, the machine is equipped with a cover switch that automatically shuts down the machine as soon as the cover is opened. A restart interlock prevents unintentional start-up.

For the machining of short workpieces, the clamping handle (included) can be used with this machine.

We can also offer additional consumables such as cut-off and cup wheels.

Application: Bar-shaped workpieces can be cut to length and ground flat in a single operation. Ideally suited for the production of ejector pins.

The machine features two parallel grinding spindles: one for cut-off operations and one for face grinding to final dimensions. The desired workpiece length can be set to an accuracy of 0.01 mm using the integrated scale.

Operating procedure:
Open the prism clamp: move the lever in the center to the right and insert the workpiece
Close the prism clamp: move the lever to the left
Cutting: move the lever up to the left
Face grinding: move the lever down to the left
Open the prism clamp: move the lever to the center and to the right; remove the finished workpiece.

The grinding wheel can be adjusted and dressed at any time without changing the pre-set dimension.
