The HYFRA Gamma series models are designed as immersion coolers for cooling water, oil, and emulsions. The plug-and-play immersion coolers can be installed with a footprint starting at just 0.5 m², making them ideal for integration into different machine layouts.

Outputs of up to 28 kW are possible thanks to the compact design, requiring only 0.5 m² of floor space. This results in significant flexibility advantages when planning production floor layouts and leads to a substantial increase in productivity, as more machines can be accommodated. In the compact models of our immersion coolers, the condenser is installed horizontally. This design results in significantly less waste heat generated by the immersion coolers. Internal components thus remain unaffected by heat output.

A robust agitator ensures a consistent media temperature in the lubricant tank for all models of the immersion cooler series. For scheduled cleaning, the HYFRA Gamma series can be easily lifted out of the tank using built-in crane lugs.

How does an immersion cooler work?

With immersion coolers, the evaporator of the chiller is directly immersed in the cooling medium. The liquid is contained in a tank and is continuously and vigorously agitated for efficient cooling. Powerful agitators support this process.

What applications are suitable for immersion coolers?

Immersion coolers are often used for temperature control of cooling lubricants in filtration and mechanical engineering, ensuring the performance of applied equipment. They are also used indirectly for cooling tools and workpieces in metalworking, for example during milling and grinding with CNC or conventional machine tools.

Immersion coolers with modern controls and extensive features

Depending on cooling capacity, HYFRA Gamma immersion coolers are equipped with either FreeSmart or FreeAdvanced controllers. The combination of the FreeAdvanced controller and a touch panel offers a structured overview and clear readout of relevant values. Both programmable controllers are equipped with several digital and analog input and output ports. Additionally, the FreeAdvanced controller features a full-text display and supports Modbus TCP.
