Automatic Packing Machine MAIR, MPS RH150/D/4/SL & SIGNODE Automatic Strapping Unit M400 1. MAIR PACKING MACHINE, model MPS RH150/D/4/SL The MPS RH150/D/4/SL Pat. model automatically bundles round tubes into hexagonal packages. The machine can automatically perform the strapping operation at a fixed position, with the package moving laterally and stopping automatically at the programmed strapping positions. It consists of: - Four-tube chain conveyors with support dogs and intermittent drive for lifting one tube at a time, coming from the threading machine, up to the alignment area. - A motorized roller for aligning the tube against an adjustable end stop before row formation. - Two storage areas for tube rows, necessary during the package evacuation cycle. - A robust welded steel bridge structure. - A tube row handling system that takes one row at a time from the second row storage and places it onto the package forming supports. - Handling via a series of electromagnets that rotate during the row transfer cycle; - Four vertical powered supports for forming and binding bundles. They are equipped with adjustable blades according to the required bundle size and shape, and are lowered to allow the bundle to be deposited on the evacuation carriage. - Powered evacuation carriage, sliding on rails fixed to the floor and equipped with driven lower rollers and pairs of loose vertical retaining rollers. - Powered flat conveyor for transporting the bundle after the strapping area. - Powered storage chains suitable for bringing the bundles to the selected quantity. - Drainage station for bundle lifting, to allow the exit of coolant from the tubes; equipped with two hydraulic devices operated by a hydraulic power unit. - Control cabinet. 2. SIGNODE AUTOMATIC STRAPPING STATION, model M400 The formed package is automatically transferred, using the powered rollers of the evacuation carriage, to the automatic system. It will stop at the programmed strapping positions to allow the automatic application of steel straps. It consists of: - SIGNODE automatic strapping machine model M400/PA/TSM for vertical strapping - Pneumatic floating strapping head for 32 mm (1¼") wide steel strap with 0.9 mm wall thickness; - 450 kg strap dispenser with electric decoiler; - Control panel 3. WEIGHING STATION, model KG8/DY The station weighs the tube packages using load cells. The powered storage chains transfer the packages to the weighing position. The weighing station is located beneath pneumatic lifting devices that lift the package to allow weighing. It consists of: - Lower frame for fixing to the floor, complete with four supports, hooks, and load cells. - Upper clamping frame, capable of receiving the bundle lifting devices. - Compact weight transmitter. 4.
