Consistent tolerances and superior surface finish

The RS65 line incorporates a strip washing tunnel and an in-line cold rolling unit (Carl Wetzel KG) with Vollmer thickness control, ensuring accurate strip management (thickness reduction from 0.03 to 0.3 mm).

The ABBEY ETNA forming section features motorized breakdown stands, finpass stands, 250 kW HF welder, complete inner scarfing and triple outer scarfing, as well as a six-stand calibration section with individual drives.

In-line quality control and final finishing

The Prüftechnik Eddycheck 610 eddy current inspection system, together with demagnetizing, automatic defect marking, anti-corrosive oiling, and the MAIR automatic magnetic bundle packaging system, ensure a final product ready for delivery.
