Voortman V600

Voortman V600 drilling system for profiles and flat steel with traversing drilling unit.

The CNC-controlled drilling unit is traversable in the longitudinal direction, with an adjustment and travel measurement range from 0 - 18,300 mm. The maximum processable length of a steel profile is 15,000 mm. Tool changes for the HSS coolant channel drills are carried out using a manual quick-release tool holder. Workpiece clamping is achieved via a vertical hydraulic hold-down device, which secures the component (profile or flat steel) at the previously set position for the drilling operation.

The drilling unit includes web and flange height measurement, automatic electronic stepless feed and speed control (continuous monitoring), allowing for optimal machining; adjustment is performed by a frequency-controlled spindle drive. Center punching points can be set as needed.

Voortman control system:

VACON 110, IBM-compatible PC Pentium 233MHz with VGA/TFT graphics card. CAD data for profile processing can be imported via USB stick as DSTV or NC data, or entered manually at the machine's operating panel. The system runs on Windows 98 - DOS.
